While appearing on UK's Jonathan Ross Show, Sir Ian McKellen announced that he will be officiating the wedding of his X-Men co-star Patrick Stewart. McKellen plans to pay a $25 fee to the Massachusetts' Secretary of Commonwealth which offers a service that allows a family friend of relative to perform a couple's wedding ceremony.
