LeAnn Rimes has filed a lawsuit again her dentist who she claims has messed up her teeth and mouth so much it's affecting her work. LeAnn put her dental needs in the hands of Dr. Duane C. McKay over the past three years, which included upper front veneers, crowns, route canals and bone grafting. Dr. McKay was also supposed to relieve her TMJ-related pain.
In October, the singer's dental surgery forced her to cancel tour dates. On her website she wrote, "I've been living in a dental nightmare for 10 months. I'm getting back on track though, I hope. I've had too many detours this year due to dental issues."
According to court documents, LeAnn is seeking monetary compensation for "loss of earnings and future earning capacity" as well as for the physical, emotional and psychiatric injuries she sustained over the three years.
LeAnn also claims "negligent" treatment from her dentist, and says she developed "severe tooth pain, gum inflammation and chronic gum bleeding" due to Dr. McKay's faulty crown placement.
The singer states that she will have a "permanent cosmetic deficiency."
