Even though it was Brantley Gilbert's birthday on Sunday (January 20th), he had a major present for his girlfriend, Jana Kramer-- an engagement ring! Brantley popped the question on his 28th birthday and she said yes. He rented out the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville just for the occasion.

Jana told People.com, "I was so surprised! He asked my mom for permission before he proposed, which meant a lot to me."

Brantley said, "We could not be happier! We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together."

Brantley and Jana have been dating for about a year, but did not make their first public appearance together until November of last year when they attended the CMA Awards in Nashville.

I wonder, will she still be charging him rent on the Nashville house they have together?
