So, Blake Shelton strongly encouraged Narvel and Reba's son, Brandon Blackstock to propose to girlfriend Kelly Clarkson. Blake told Brandon to pull his head out of his @$$, and said he would do anything, even take care of the music at the wedding for Brandon and Kelly. Of course he might have to clear that with Reba, who wants to sing at the wedding herself.
How did Reba hear the news?
Reba learned that Kelly will be her new stepdaughter-in-law via a phone call. The superstar was hosting a Malibu Country holiday cast party at her Los Angeles home when Reba's husband and manager, Narvel got a phone call and told his son, Brandon, that he'd call him right back.
Reba told Us Weekly that she and Narvel ran upstairs and each got on a phone where the happy couple shared the good news.
Reba added that she will not be surprised if Kelly and Brandon elope. Reba says big weddings were never her deal and that also seems to be the case with Kelly, saying "I don't know that that's Kelly's either. I've had two weddings and they were both very small. Very few people. They really weren't even weddings. We had a preacher there, but that's it."
Reba and Kelly recently tweeted back and forth about who would be the entertainment at the wedding with Reba writing, "since you are going to be my daughter-in-law, I'm singing at the wedding, right??"
Kelly responded, "Obviously! My request is "Let's Get It On" by Al Green. That's not awkward, right?"
Reba tweeted back, "We may have to talk about that one later . . ."
Kelly and Brandon have yet to announce any specific details about their nuptials.
