Are shame and embarassment really effective tools to teach a kid a lesson? I never liked it when my Dad and Mom pointed out things to me thatmade me feel foolish or stupid, and as a new Dad myself, I'm learning a little something about that from being on the other side. I've had to wait a very long time to be a parent, so I think I'd like to spend every minute appreciating my boys.
